How to stop stacked wall from moving when adding segment?

I have a stacked wall which I'd like to add another segment to. The segment is flush with the interior of the wall but recessed slightly on the exterior. In the preview everything looks exactly the way I want. When I click to accept the changes (and this happens every time I make a change to this wall even when the segments are the exact same width and same components except its core material) numerous errors come up saying walls and roofs need to be unjoined, dimensions need to be deleted, and the wall moves slightly for absolutely no reason causing a massive headache. I even set all the walls location lines to the same part of the wall. Why does Revit do this? What can I do to not make it do this?

Can you copy the stacked wall to a new file and share?

What is the location line fof the walls in the project?

If it's set to interior and your adding a something on the interior side, the walls will move outwards.

Please see attached file. I'm trying to add 200 mm of the wall on the left to the bottom of the stacked wall on the right (the other walls heights should remain at the same level) without it moving.

I can confirm this behavior.  Even with the alignment set to a common face (core or finish), adding a different width wall to a stacked wall will move it by 1/2 the delta width.

So I'm guessing there's nothing that can be done to fix it besides moving the walls then? I think I might just make it an air space and hide the line it creates for now in my sections.

Don't throw the towel too easily.  See below and file attached:
