How to show the ceiling panel dimension in properties:

Please help me to put the ceiling panel dimension in properties.

I would recommend looking into Dynamo for this type of thing.

There is no way to do this in Revit directly apart from manually typing in each property (which would take too long)

Dynamo will be able to automate this process and write all the properties to the relevant parameters for you.

Although you might need to spend time learning Dynamo, it would be worth it.

This can be done using a divided surface, (generic model adaptive template), filled with a pattern-based panel, in which all these dimensions are shared parameters. In the project, each panel can be tagged and scheduled with all its dimensions and angles.

Sorry, i should have clarified in my post, there is no quick/easy way to achieve this inside Revit 😛

I think this method would be a bit tedious in large projects. Not a great plan if you have a large number of ceilings, especially if they are all different shapes i would imagine. Have you tried this on big projects? Would be good to know to see how it went?

It is not tedious or time consuming. The dimensions are applied once in the pattern-based family, and then the schedule takes care of listing all those values. It is necessary for fabrication of non-rectangular panels, usually for curtain walls, but it could be applied to this case, for ceilings.

Wont you have to redraw every ceiling with the adaptive family/surface to apply the pattern though? Im thinking if you already have the ceilings created in the model

I have already the geometry line in my ceiling from the AutoCAD.

Now I want to place the panel with dimension inside the geometry line.

Yes, but I assume this would be an exception, not every ceiling in the project. I´ve never had to dimension tiles in ceilings, but I had one case in which a client of mine needed to dimension a canopy with mullions and glazing, in which every panel needed to be fabricated with special dimensions, and the solution was as I described above in post  # 3.
