Have you made sure the plan region is fully around the item you want shown. If it cuts just a bit of it off, it will not show that item.
Other then that can you share a screen grab of your view range settings.
Hallo everyone,
so this the view range settings that i have used, ( Shortcut: EG= GR, 1.UG= B1) (Level: B1=-3,80m, GF=+-0,00 m), as you can see from the first screen shot, the staircases are separate, i have set the cut level to 3,60 m and it only shows the Landing, during research on the internet, i read that Plan Region does not work with separated staircases, is this right?
Show us your plan region settings.
Here I have a stair from Ground to first, with floor over and stair from first to second. The plan region cut plane needs to be below first floor level.

Set Oberkante to below floor level - it seems likes its at the top of the floor. I'm not sure of the distance between floor levels, but Shnittebene must be below the floor.
to be honest i have tried different sets and none of them helped at all, i supposing that the plan region does not work with single staircases.
Well it does work - I did it and posted my result. Did you try what I suggested?
Did you read and understand and follow what was suggested in Message #5 and #6?
Just grab the blue, arrowhead-shaped Plan Region Shape Handles pull them outward to resize the Plan Region.
Keyword: bounding box. Your plan region must cover the entire bounding box of the stair, not shaped to the footprint of the stair itself.
I usually hate Plan region becouse then someone hides it and get me crazy with VR.
I prefer Model del starirs separatelly and link it in main model.
That makes no sense to me. Rather ask your colleagues to hide Plan Regions using VR and not Hide in View. It's a whole additional workstream that you adding to link in the stairs.
No.
I do it so even because I model stairs as Generic model and prepare corrisponding views in the linked one.
It is pratically impossible to modify revit stairs in order to overocme your needs and/or match run/landings line style to Country requirements.
After 3y of BIM management this is the best solution I have found.
If you have smt better feel free to give me some tips ![]()
