How to select multiple mass forms at once

I've created multiple mass forms in my model and want to select them all at once. I can ctrl click each one but that is burdensome. I want to use my cursor to selection box over all of them but when i do that it does not select any of the mass forms. That method will select everything else, but not the masses. Also, i cannot use the select similar command. Please help me select all of these masses at once. Thanks!

I have no issue selecting multiple mass elements at once using a window selection from top right to bottom left.  How did you draw your selection window?

i created them using 'massing & site' - in-place mass. Take a look at the video i recorded. I can select all of them with clicking each one but the window selection does not work.

select in selection box and use the filter !

or you can use parameter for mass and use the parameter in schedule or you can save the selection for the next time !!

Hi @gmoodyEVUW4,

Not sure what's happening there, something not selecting with window/crossing selection is normally due to something obscuring parts. In floorplan this could be a underlay, transparant filled regen etc.

In a 3D view, maybe (large/long) reference planes in families block something??

Try this: select one mass and then Isolate category. Now try a cross/window selection, does that work?

Also, in the vid the select window doesn't follow the cursor, due to the screencap software?

1. Create a schedule of mass. Select them in the schedule and then go to your view.

When without Api, I usually select objects by setting a schedule(with filter maybe).

Making a big window/crossing selection in view always burns my PC.

2. Right click and select all instances (in project browser)

After Revit 2022, select all instances work when selecting mulitple types.

did you control these two part :

another interesting point, why your cursor and selected element has distance?

zoom out(2x) or more and make a bigger selection box that cover the distance of cursor and element and try to select them!
i be glad to see what happend.
