How to see same object across different views?

Hi, I'm looking at a particular object in a Revit 2018 2D view, and I'd like to see it in a 3D view (or another view, doesn't matter). But when I open another view, I then have to refind that object, which is very tedious. How can I keep the focus on that object?

Also, sometimes I need to look at the relationship between two objects. When I locate that object in 3D, there are many other objects in front of my object that I cannot see it. Aside from isolating elements (which doesn't work because I am looking at the relationship between two objects), how can I "clear" space around this object so I can see clearly?

Thanks!

Right-Click and Select Previous.

"Select Previous" is grayed out.

Actually select the objects you want in one view and then switch views immediately and Select Previous.  I use use this method all the time.

...another method is to create a selection set filter.  Great if you want to select all the elements together at another time in another view.

Ah ha, thanks! So if I want to show a certain set of objects (say, a bathroom) in a 3D view, I can create a filter for everything inside that room, jump to that 3D View, and then show only that filter. Very cool, thanks.
