How to Screen Coarse Fill Pattern

Is there a way to set a solid fill pattern for coarse scale to a screened value?

Not a true screening, no.

I've found that you can approximate a screening with transparency, but only by element.

We typically specify a gray color for items that cannot be set to halftone which we would have plotted screened in a different software.  As with  @chrisplyler's option, not true screening, but it gives a similar effect.

If you can clarify the intent of screening the fill pattern then we may be able to give you a solution that works better than others.

@PhilvK

Do you mean something somilar to Wall Type Graphics property? ie: (Properties Palette >> Edit Type >> Graphics >> Coarse Scale Fill Pattern) where you set it to solid fill for Coarse level?

While it is doable for System Elements (Walls/Floor/Roof...) using the above one off click; for other elements  it can be only immitated (using user defined manual visibility parameters and/or overrides) ...since (at least as far as I know) the View Detail Level is not user accessible (using only Revit) in order to associate parameters to it.

Probably through API or Dynamo (never tried myself though)

Cheers
