I am not sure i understand what are you trying to achieve. However, Revit offers you the possibility to insert a project (rvt file) in another project as a group. This is particularly useful in the case of hotel or hospital rooms for example. You can do that from the insert tab. Keep in mind that all model elements of the file will become a unique model group, and all view specific elements (detail items and annotations) will become detail groups attached to the model group. You will have as many attached detail groups as the number of views in the inserted rvt file (only views containing view specific geometry will create detail groups). So, although you cannot transform an rvt to a rfa you can achieve something similar with groups.
