Turn off Interior Edges under Topography, or Floors, or Roofs categories.

that solves the issue of setting up a view, but per item?

What does "per item" mean?  Do you want to hide the lines for some items, but show them for some other items, in the same view?

for example:
I have asphalt soil which I want to remove lines but concrete floor where I don't want to eliminate them

Yes this is driven by view. Alternatively you can make those lines not visible in black and white hidden line mode by setting the Interior edge (called "folding lines" 2023 and Up) object styles to white.

You can model Asphalt Soil under Topography category, and Concrete Floor under Floors category.  Then you can turn the lines off for Topography and keep them on for Floors.

If you model them under the same category then you have to use Linework tool and change the lines to <Invisible>.

In this case both are Floor type
So I ask if it can be done "by element"
