The red target symbol? When I hover my mouse over it, it says LINK_BACKGROUNDS: RVT Links: Linked Revit Model: (Model Name) : 8 : Location <Not Shared>

So, first you need to open up the linked file and select that red thing so you know what it is (write it down so you don't forget). Next, go into visibility graphics (VG) or the view template if there is one applied, click the Revit Links tab all the way on the right, then click the By Host View button under Display Settings. Change the 3 circles to the custom one, then click on the relevant tab to the right (model or annotation categories), and change the drop down to also be custom. Now you can find whatever the type is and turn it off.
This is great, thanks a lot. Could you please guide me - How do I open up the linked file?
I've never found a way to open a linked model from a project, you just have to do file-> open and navigate to wherever the file is saved and open it.
Got it. It was just a line. So I went to VG and did what you mentioned and it helped me fix it. Thanks!
