how to opt to include or exclude a nested family while volume data changed accordingli

Hello,

I have a host family that include 4 nested families A at 4 location, where optional to exist or not exist (eg 3 exist 1 not),  and the volume should change accordling (eg only 3 is counted and deducted by 1), some like a door with or without 1 or 2 hinge or 1 or 3 handle

I had tried visibility but volume not affected.  And adding a cut void parameter (cut to no-exist or not cut to exist) seens works -- but

is there any more direct parametric way to control the exist or non-exist of a nested family while volume can calculated accordingly?

If you are using generic models category, the volume would

• either need to be a calculated value
• or extracted using dynamo and set to a parameter in the family. 
• or create a Take-off schedule and use the field Material: Volume.

Hello Mr RDAOU,

and can the schedule can filter to include or exlude that opted nested family? ( by whcih parameter eg visibility or cut void or by label?)

Toan? 😆 who is Toan?

If the Y/N visibility parameters are shared, then you can schedule those as well and control it from the schedule as well.
