How to modify profile (for curtain wall mullion)

Hi,

I want to modify a curtain wall mullion to add a door adapter.

I don't want to start from scratch, as those I have are quite nice (just need to add the 22mm adapter) but when I select either the mullion or the profile families, I don't have the option to modify those families.

I don't have access to the family file (it got lost somewhere...).

Now, do I have to start from scratch, or is there any way to retrieve the precious data and geometry in those (I hope not so) uneditable families?

I guess I'll get an important skill to Revit modelling if anyone teaches me!

Many thanks,

Matthias

Hi @ennujozlagam ,

There it is. I work in French, but should be able to see the point: I try to modify this profile family, but no offer to modify it in the menu

you can do that just go to families > profiles > select your mullion to edit > edit > save to another filename if you want to or edit the same profiles. thanks

Yep, that's it.

Different family types have very different editing behaviours in Revit, it's not clear to me why in many cases.

Anyways, thanks, @ennujozlagam !
