I have created custom fascia's and need to miter edges where a fascia meets a slope. I tried extending and cutting a void but no luck as the void doesn't read the fascia.
Hi,
Are you running the fascia board individually at each section of roof, or continuously around the section of the roof?
Also, it looks like you created a profile for the fascia. I think Revit only miters correctly around a square cut roof with that crown type of facia you created.
Like this?
Draw two fascia:
- 1st one with a flat, thin profile so that it wraps and miters properly around the roof.
- 2nd one with a complex profile, but pick the outside edge of the 1st fascia, not the roof, to create this fascia. The reason is that you need a horizontal segment to transition the corner.
I tried a sweep with the profile I drew and it keeps giving me the "cant create fascia" error.
Yes exactly, so how else would someone model a condition like this. Seems limiting to think that it would be impossible to do so.
From the way the Fascias are meeting at the corner, it looks like
Double check any Fascia settings/offsets and try to isolate the roof and pick a consistent continuous path

Could you explain how to Miter that exact condition? A Rake going into an Eave? The mitering option on Revit cuts it way too far. Any help is appreciated, Thank you!
