How to make white lines not print?

Hi,

I used detail lines as points to reference to for my dimension stringers, but when I print they are printed similar to a hidden line. I do not want this as the whole idea was for them to not print and allow my dimensions to be from the correct location. Either how can I fix this or use my dimensions properly? I will attach an image using red lines instead of white just for clarification, and you can see how without using these lines the points referenced make the dimension not be parallel with my rafter, which is what I am trying to accomplish.
