Using a Window or a Door family Template...similar to the attached sample file from the German OOTB Library. Check it out and see if you can figure the concept and how to edit and modify to your need
Alternatively...Instead of using a standard Window/Door family ...A simpler approach is to model it using a curtain wall element (Watch GIF Below)

That's not correct.

It wasn't meant to be humorous. Curtain Wall Windows can be included in Legends.
You did not understand what I meant. I said using a curtain wall instead of a window is not right.

I understood what you said. In fact, I quoted you. Whether or not that's what you "meant" - or what you consider to be "right" - you stated an inaccuracy.

- Create a new family using Window family template (A) > draw ref planes and place dimension parameters > model the frame
- Find: a Hopper window family (b), a Casement window family (c), a Fixed window family (d)
- Edit (b) (c) (d) and change Width and Height dimensions to instance parameters
- Load the above window families (b) (c) (d) into (A) and place them in the frame > constrain them to ref planes
- Load (A) to you project
