I need to make the roof you see in the attached file. It is not so complicated in shape but still not working as a roof. Gutter family can't be added to the edge? Any one who knows a better way to do this roof without losing its properties as a roof.
Hi there,
The reason you won't be able to place a gutter on this roof is because there is no flat run along the roof, which Revit unfortunately does not recognise when trying to add a gutter.
I know there are plenty real life examples of gutters being placed on roofs such as these and it really is something Revit should sort out, its very frustrating! The roof should work with other parameters though, such as bringing your walls to the top of the roof, ect.
All I can suggest is that you create a profile in the shape of your desired gutter and draw it along the direction that your roof slope travels.
Hope this helped!
Cheers
@Anonymoushello, if you cannot attached gutter you can do another way, model In-place and use sweep as profile of your gutter. thanks
This was already suggested.

Hi @Anonymous
I just wanted to follow up here, any progress on this issue?
Do you require more assistance from the community?
HERE is information on how to use the Gutter tool to add gutters to roofs, soffits, model lines, and fascia.

Just one suggestion about this thread. It would be better if the questions come with an image instead of an .rvt file. Notice in this thread, there is not a single image. The only way to see the roof is to open the attached .rvt file. Then, the user who wants to respond has to download a Revit file to his/her computer just to see the roof. What if the version of Revit is not compatible? Not to mention other potential problems with opening a file. A simple image included in the question might be all that is needed to understand a problem and get advice about it. Just my opinion...
Thank you for your valuable suggestions!
I agree that an image/ screenshot and a Revit file with version mentioned would definitely benefit the community offering to help the OP (Original poster)
@Anonymous can you follow up with an image of what you are looking for? We may be able to assist you better.
Looking forward to your reply update.

Aside from using a sweep, you can use Fascia with the same gutter profile.
