How to make column stand out from wall

For example here the columns is overlapping the wall.How to make the columns stand out from the wall ?

use switch join order tool from Modify/Geometry tab. Note if you are using structural bearing wall, columns are always cut by default and you have to manually switch join order. Same doesnt happen with any other wall (architectural, shear or combined), unfortunately there is no way to model structural walls other than bearing (these have to always be changed manually in the properties panel)

Using structural column did work but there is one thing I want to ask.

On the left there is architecture column and on the right there is structural column.

As you can see the the architectural column automatically absorb the color of the wall but the structural column doesn't. Is there a way to make the structural column automatically have the color of the walls ?

I dont think so. Structural and architectural columns behave differently and are used for different purposes.
