I want to be able to toggle a view, to make it black and white (linked to a cad drawing). Is there a way to do that? Also, I would like to be able to toggle it back quickly if needed. Im new to revit so please explain.
Thanks.

Just go to options and look for background and change to black. Thanks
no sorry thats not what i meant, I am trying to get the actual drawing in the view to be black and white (and print that way too). Its linked to cad so the lines are colour coded to those cad layers. But it would be super tedious to change them in cad just for the drawing. I was hoping there could be some kind of way to turn off colours (so its black and white) just for that one view...
But thanks for the help
When you link a CAD file in Revit you have the option 'Colours : Black and white', (check image below).
So you want to preserve colors, but have the ability to change the CAD Link from layers color to black in a View; correct? You can easily do this through View Visibility and Graphics Overrides under the Imported Categories tab.

In addition to what @barthbradley said. Save the V/G settings to view templates, one for B&W the other for color.
With that said, please explain why you think you want this. There may be better workflows for your needs.
in brief, as Barth already said:
