How to make a "front-facing sweep" with dozens of holes quickly?

Is there any way of making the "front-facing sweep" you see above without having to do an extursion with dozens of those small gaps? For example, just doing one and have it multiply for a specific distance? Just like railings (I hate railings).

You do the sweep, then one void extrusion and array it.  Can be in a line based, wall based or face based family.
