how to label and/or coloring void forms for identification

Hello,

I will make various type of parts to be cut by various voids from a same solid block, so the identification of the parts depends on the void (not the solid block), so how can I label and/or coloring the void forms?

--- now I am using "model text", but other team have to identify the type of voids (to select the type of the parts) during operation,

--- and "tag" only used for drawings so also not practical because it is only applicable in drawgins or a fixed view

Thanks

These are the only parameters I could find for voids in the generic model family template.

I can see 2 options for you:

- Use the names of the reference planes that each void is drawn in to identify them. This does not allow for colouring, but I can't see an easy way that does.

- You could create a face based void family to cut each void. Each family would have coloured model lines to define the boundaries of the void which would then show up when loaded into your main family.
