How to join two different thick walls in curve?

Hello everybody,

I tried to join two walls in difference to create a curved corner. (pic.002 is the plan and what I want it to be)

However, when I used the "join walls" command, the corner is always in right angle.

I also tried pick the curved line to created a curved wall directly, but it can only be one thickness.(pic.001)

so, can I join two different thick wall in curve or can i create a curved wall with different thickness on two ends?

You have to use a void to cut the curved wall to get the gradually reduced thickness.

Hi @Anonymous

I think you can also do model in place -extrusion to the curved part of the wall and 2  different basic walls on each side.

It is a way in my case, thanks.

but if it is a true ongoing architectural project,  the wall has constructional details (layers, etc.), this cutting solution is not applicable then.

Yup. as far as i know you  can't make this type of "sweep blanded" wall.

You can model by extrution each layer of your wall and the outcome will be like "Patrs" command.

You could make two curved walls with different center points and radius then manually join them to get the layers. Imho it doesn't matter, you can take care of the detail with cut profile or detail components.
