how to insert and work with world coordinate Rcs (point cloud) data .

I have tried to insert this data  in (origin to origin) but  it was visible at far away  and which we cannot work.
and also i have tried to insert the data in ( centre to centre ) and it worked but when i remove and reinsert the data its changing its position and each and every time  when i load it as new . and its not matching with Autocad coordinates as well.

 for shared coordinates also i am getting same warning 

any one help in solving this issue.

Just move/reposition your Point Cloud to where it should be relative to your Building Model.

We can't use this model

Huh?  That doesn't make any sense.  What do you mean by this?

- Insert the point cloud in a blank Revit project, add a couple of location identifier such as grid lines

- Link this project to your project, move it to align with you model using the linked location identifier

- Acquire the link coordinates

That won't work either.  The Point Cloud will insert into a blank Project the same way -- well beyond the maximum allowed limit.  

The solution is to move the Point Cloud to where it need to be in the Building Model Project.  Period.

Don't worry about real world coordinates. Just place your Point Cloud where it needs to be in relationship to the Building Model -- or very close to the Internal Origin of the Project if you haven't started modeling the building yet.  You can always locate the Project to "real world coordinates" later.

If there are multiple point clouds start by linking them origin-to-origin. That should keep there position correct between them. Group them. Move the group into position with the Revit model. When you get point cloud updates do a reload from in lieu of removing and re-adding.
