@Viveka_CD: I watched your Screencast and it's not clear to me. Are you showing how to turn the path into a view element, similar to a detail line showing a fire evacuation route like @htews is asking?
I know how to create a walkthrough path and all.
want to SHOW the path (green below) in a floor plan, on a sheet similar to below without "tracing" or using DLs to illustrate the path (red lines).
but from the sounds of it, this can't be done. Just like you cant show/illustrate where an actual camera is located.
maybe this should be added to future updates either in the Model Categories or Annotation Categories "Walkthrough Path" or "Camera Location" and be able to check/uncheck the visibility
You could--
Take a screenshot, save the image and place on a sheet. Not ideal, as quality may not be great--but it could work.
A purpose-built tool would be nice.
I wonder if Dynamo could be used to trace the path with model lines?
just learned that they would like to see the where the camera's location in plan view as the walkthrough plays.

At that level I would look at a more sophisticated animation program such as 3DMax or Enscape or whatever. Do they know they have to pay you more for this?
Or do a screencast to record the camera movement with side-by-side views. Screencast will be up in a few minutes.

Hi @htews
I see what you are saying!
Dynanimator is worth a try, but not sure if this is what you are looking for.

Hi @htews
Based on recent feedback, this might be possible. Try posting on the Revit API and dynamo forum for further feedback.
Also, can you share a file and a rough sketch of the path illustration you want to achieve?
I'm hoping to get some help on this one from a dynamo specialist, so I wanted to ask if you have experience working with Dynamo?
