How to hide the meshes of dwg import objects on revit 2D plan?

Hello,

I made a family out of dwg import objects, however the meshes are still visible on the 3D plans.

How can I make them invisible ?

You can't without hiding all the elements that are on that layer.  Want to do that?  If so, turn off the layer through VGO's Imported Categories Tab.

Are you unable to find Revit families, or at least CAD files created using acis solids instead of 1980 era meshes?

Hello,

I've used some Revit families for the basic furniture but I had to draw others because they're custom ones.

he only issue I have is with the ones I drew myself on Rhinoceros. I used the "mesh" command and it looks like this now.

You can make custom families in Revit. Then you can make them parametric and easily manipulate them for this project AND future ones.

If you modeled it in Rhino as Nurbs then export it as Acis solid drawing. Revit can also import Rhino file directly or vie Rhino in Revit addin.
