How to hide paint?

Hi to all, 

Is there the manner to hide paint? I want to show it or to cover it depending by the case..

You cannot hide paint, as far as I know.

You could model the paint as thin walls, and hide/unhide as needed with filters, worksets, etc.

You could also try using design options with painted and unpainted walls.
