How to hide MSL elevation under level heads

Hi,

In elevations and sections, is there a way to hide the number (MSL, height above sea level) shown under the level head, while still keeping the dotted line (level) and the level head with the name of the level?

Thanks

Yes, the level marker is an annotation symbol family with a label that reports the elevation height.

Locate the name of the symbol in the Level Type Properties, find it in the Project browser and edit the family to hide or delete the label as required.

 Hope this helps,

Edit the Level head symbol to remove the height. You can use a visibility parameter or create a new type depending on how you want it to work.

You can find the symbol family to be edited in the project browser under annotation symbols.

@Lachlan-JWP Thanks, but when I right-click on the level to access the family, the "edit family" option is not active. Any idea how to activate it so I can modify it?

In the image I posted above, you click on the level, click 'Edit Type' and note the name of the Symbol. In my image it wa Symbol_LevelHead_2.5mm. Yours will be different. Find that family in the project browser under 'Family', then 'Annotation Symbols'. Right click on the symbol family and select 'Edit'.

Right click on the family in the project browser as shown above, then click on 'Edit' this will open the family editor for that symbol. You can then delete the height parameter or set a visibility parameter to hide/show it when required.

@Lachlan-JWP When I did that and opened he family to modify it, all I got was this (see image). I don't see where to hide just the number showing height above sea level. Level Head Family.JPG

Yes and no.

No; you cannot hide the Level's Elevation Label in one Project View, but not another.  Yes; you can replace the Level Head with a Type that has no Elevation Label showing - but, that will be the one used across all Project Views.
