Hi.
in short - Im very new to Revit and I'm wondering if there is a wall to have some walls I've created automatically be loaded into Revit when open.
basically, I work for a property development company and I've been tasked with created our different wall styles. I have made all the walls in a seperate project and I was wondering if there was a wall for the wall profiles I've created to be added to the current list of walls you get when you open a new project.
Put them in your project template.
Type "How to modify a Revit project template" in your favorite search engine.
Here I did that and found this:
Dear Jack
If you already have created the walls in one project there are multiple ways to get them in another project:
Of course you can always add walltypes to your template and have them readily available when you start a new Revit project but I hope the nuanced explanation above is also helpful.
Kind regards and Gods blessings

Thanks for this, any information is always useful
i think the template idea will be better but its good to know another way ![]()
Hi @Anonymous
@PaulusPresent_BB is correct, this is the method to use, the only difference is you want o open the project you have created the walls in, then open the project Template.
to find the project template, go to Options, File Locations and follow the File path listed for the template you use for your projects
