I work with multiple production builders. Each has their own preferred font. I need to be able to change all fonts in a project, including the ones imbedded in families without having to manage different family libraries. I'm using Revit LT.
Any suggestions?
You can select one of their texts (or tags), then "select all in project "and change it to your font family. You have to do that for each of their types.
Arial is kind of the default in Revit. I'm surprised the vendors go through the effort to use a less legible font.
Like Enkus said. There is no fast way to do this, only less slow ways. You could put together a Dynamo script to do it, but even that would take awhile to run if you have a lot of families in your project. If the builders you work with are making you do this, I sure hope you're incorporating all of that wasted time into your fees.
It is the only way to change every text style, label style, dimension style in Revit. Save different fonts to different folders, rename them all to Arial, then overwrite the original Arial in Fonts folder.

This sounds like the easiest and the most dangerous if not done correctly. please tell me more.
What do you want to know?
So, speaking in AutoCAD terms, I take it you're talking about setting up a separate profile for each client with a separate file location for the "arial" font for each of those profiles. Copy the correct font file into that file location and rename it as arial. My understanding is that ttf fonts have to be installed. Which would mean I would have to re-install the arial font everytime I changed from Revit to another Windows application. Am I understanding this correctly?
