Unlike AutoCAD, how to you fudge a dimension in Revit? The overall dimension is correct, but the witness lines are not picking the correct point so dimensions are 1/4" or 1/2" off? Is there a way to fix this?
You can control what the dimension references using the TAB key to cycle through possible elements that lie under your cursor. This way you pick the elements that are at the correct distance.
You can override a dimension value with text. Select the dimensions, click on the dimension value and a separate dialog will appear. It won't let you type in a new dimension only value like 6'-4". You can however right click and choose Insert Unicode Control Character and then use Zero Width Joiner.
It's a really really bad idea to do this, especially if the dimensions are more than a tiny bit wrong. Fix the model is the right answer. Failing that, I'd favor using a dimensions style that rounds off at a larger fractional increment where rounding to the nearest 1/2" (for example) doesn't compromise the project.
Overriding dimensions is really designed for the kinds of dimensions I wrote about on my blog some years ago.
