How to follow this certain path in sweep?

I'm working on a project where I need to create a steel profile following this path:

This path is hard to draw, but italready exist on the architectural project (I'm attaching the part in question).

I thought I would create a sweep profile on it and my problem would be solved but its not working.
I cant edit the family and thw sweep always goes down to level 0.

Why is that and how can I solve it?

This is the part in question:

I don't have 2022 anymore but what you should be doing is create a model-in-place component and then create a sweep using the pick path option when you are in a 3D view.

you will need to decide which edges you want to use but it looks like you will need to pick a lot of them based on how the direct shape family is built.

Then you can draw your profile and you should be done.

Doing that it just ignores the elevation dimenson and stays on level 0.

Are you working in the 3D and using pick path for the sweep?

@gustavodelucaf if pick the path in 3D it will work as Mike has already outlined, that's the good news.

The bad news is that all of the segments are not along a continuous curve, meaning that the profile you wish to use needs to be applied to each segment, which would be rather tedious and there will be a gap between each segment.
If by any chance you could get your hands on the original curve you would need to use a swept blend for the exercise and not your standard sweep. Understanding how to use that technique in this case is another question.
Sorry I could not help you any further.

You can extend some of the lines path lines to meet using the trim/extend corner, but the most I was able to get was 3 segments to connect. So as @Mark_Engwirda said, you will need to repeat the sweep multiple times.
