How to export a sheet view as 3D-DWG

Hello Autodesk Community,

We've received a request from one of our clients asking if we can provide the floor plans for a project as 3D DWG files. In the attachment ("expectation"), you can see what the client envisions. They are looking for detailed floor plans (each floor separatly) with plan layout, dimensions, 2D furniture, etc. ... as well as the structural elements (walls, floors,...) as 3D elements, all in one file.

Is there a way to export something like this from Revit? And if so, what is the best approach?

I'm currently facing an issue where exporting a 3D DWG would require using a 3D view in Revit. However, I'm struggling to display the mentioned 2D objects (dimensions, furniture, plan layout/ textbox) within the 3D view.

Does anyone have any ideas about this, or would the simplest approach be to export two separate DWGs (1. 2D elements, 2. 3D components) and combine them in AutoCAD?

Thank you in advance, and best regards

I think the only way would be to produce some locked 3d views, where you can spend time putting dimensions and notes (the existing dimensions and notes won't be visible in the 3d view). Then put those views on a sheet. Now you have two options:

1) Export from the sheet, and you will get a flat drawing with the 3d view, with the new dimensions and notes.

2) Export from the 3d view, and you will get a 3d model, with the dimensions and notes also in 3D, converted into CAD format.

Export the 3d view and export sheet plan view. Then insert both in the same drawing in AutoCAD.

That request appears to be a misunderstanding of some fundamental differences between AutoCAD and Revit. I would try to explain that, in Revit, annotations are view specific and would significantly increase the amount of time needed to do exports.
