How to displace elements of a family?

Hi All,

I'm having trouble creating an exploded view of a single family in a project.

I have edited the family and made sure it is "Shared", however when I try and using the displace element function, the entire model highlights blue.

I've tried it with the M_Desk component too and it does not work. Please help.

Did you use Parts and Displace elements? Also what category family are we talking about?

Hi Marijn

It is just a furniture family. Even the preloaded ones like a desk or dresser.

Not sure how to use Parts but the Displacement Elements option only lets me select the entire component.

Same with casement ones.

Edit the family and change category to Generic model ie., then use parts & displace...
