I want to create a floor as shown in the picture. I know there is a way to do it using material but i don't know how to do it.
I want it to be transparent as shown in the picture. If anyone could post a video or steps about the creation of that floor, I will be grateful.
Thanks
you can refer HERE. thanks
Already Watched these videos. All of them taking about decorative floor, I am looking about the grating transparent floor.
I have solved this issue applying a material.
I assign surface model pattern (eg grid 50x50) and apply transparency to the material. Works quite well because model pattern can be easily aligned
You can checkout this family.

You can use Model in place and select Floor, then create by Extrusion after that use void Extrusion and cut all holes
Excellent, Thank u
But in shaded view and render, I want it to be transparent. Is it possible?
This is Hatch so if the file export to other software for rendering maybe that doesn't show it.
Hi, this a solution I have used for documenation purposes (e.g. Railing panel, Grid floors. Grid walls).
I do not perform Rendering.
If you want to render it you must model the exact volumetry.
For rendering purposes it is better to model the floor as one and prepare the 'Holes' as generic model floor based+array.
NB what I give you is JUST a suggestion (Good luck with it) beacuse I think it does not worth it.
Ussually those grids are provided directly from producers and in documentation we must show only main grid division.
Hope it is clear
