How to create bathroom fittings

To add specific bathroom fittings to my model such as sinks,  I know of 3 ways:

Chose a similar sink from the Revit library

Find an appropriate sink in Revit format from a website

Make my own sink model from scratch

In Archicad there were lots of generic fittings that could be easily and quickly adjusted eg a sink that could be changed in size, taps added, cabinet adjusted.  If we had a real life sink that we needed to model we could quickly make something similar. Is there a tool or procedure in Revit Lt that can do this?

Basically the three options mentioned above are the solutions. In addition to that you can take an existing family and then modify it to your requirements. This might mean additional data or adding parameters to change dimensions.
I often start from scratch or start with something I made before myself. Because when you start with a family from somewhere else it might be a lot of work to modify it in such away that it fits in your workflow (renaming, adding parameters) or that it is so complex that it is difficult to figure out how the family works exactly and what needs to be done to get it to do what you need.
