I want to create a roof that "turns down" and has an angled, but mostly vertical element to it.
I've created the roof in Revit LT by doing a Roof by Extrusion. The problem is shown below. The roof edge is cut vertically and there doesn't seem to be any way to control that end condition. The cut should be horizontal, not vertical.

Join the roof with the wall and switch join order to make the wall cut the roof.
So, you want this?
Cut the Roof with an In-Place Modeled Void Extrusion.
Since I have Revit LT, in-place modeling is not available. I was able to create a family and through some work arounds create a shape to cut the roof.
So you want to cut the base horizontal? If so, you can create an in place model Wall in Revit LT with a void and cut it.
I would model it differently, since the "turndown'" is not technically a roof. Use a tapered or slanted wall for the wall part of it and a standard shed roof for the remainder! Approach it like you would build it in the field.
