How to create a parametric angle cut at beam ends

Hi

I would like to be able to have a type parameter for the angle cut of beam end

I only found two ways to do it, but none of them are exactly what I need.

One is using a reference plane which works only as an instance feature. The other way is using an Opening by Face but I haven`t managed to create an angular dimension parameter in the Sketch mode of the opening profile

It doesn`t let me.

Is there a better way or can it be done with just Reference planes?

I  cannot create a reference line at a side plane inside the the family. It only lets me pick front and end planes.

UPDATE

I found I can in fact create an angled reference line and use a void cut inside the family but how can I lock the void extrusion sketch to the reference line?

I managed to do it without reference lines, just constraining the angle of the sketch. But even though I have created a new type, now both types have the End Angle parameter.

If I delete the void from one of them, its deleted from both types.

Select the void and associate Cut Geometry with a Yes/No parameter.

Great! I was thinking that too.

Why don't you use OOTB Beams (e.g. Structural Framing) and cut them in the Project using Cope tool or cutting back to Ref. Plane?  Be a lot easier in the long run.
