how to create a linteled archway?

I created a void on the wall with the arch instead of a straight lintel, so I do have the opening with this shape, but I don't know how to do the changed materials on top.

I would just model it as an in-place family.

You can do this via an Adaptive Components family. Paul Aubin has a great set of videos on this in the Lynda.com library, they are at the end of his Revit Architecture: Family Editor course. If you have a library card and are in the USA, you might be able to use your library card to sign in for free, just use the organization portal and type in your library system's website name.

Anyway, adaptive components can do this and make it parametric. It takes a little bit more effort than a simple family, though it comes down to making an adaptive arch via arrayed points, but it would be well worth it if you want to make lintels of various widths and heights.
