Hello

I have Skp file with me (i don't like to work in sketchup), how can i convert to Revit 2019/2021 Model like so,

I want that SketchUp faces and components to Revit walls, doors, windows, roofs, and curtain walls etc.

and also the families are fully schedulable and use your firm's Revit template and content.

I want to edit its components in revit only. any idea?

Hi @P93mahapatra

You can import the SKP file as a CAD, as the next article says:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2019/EN...

Another option, is import the file in FormIt (FormIt can open SKP files) and then save the model with the AXM extension (native FormIt extension).

In Revit, you can import that AXM file directly

You can export your Sketchup as IFC. First you have to add IFC classification

import IFC.png

Then you highlight the object and define the IFC object

IFC definition.png

Export it out as IFC

export IFC.png

In Revit, those object will categorized as Window.

Yes once it is IFC import into Revit, it becomes Revit geometry and you can change material and add parameters

Another option is to open the SKP in FormIt, adjust/apply any materials, then import the FormIt model directly into Revit.
