How to control Yes/No paramter by Phase

Hello,
Could you give me some advice?

How to control Yes/No parameter by Phase?

I have a family having concrete volume and rebars,
and the concrete volume is controlled by Yes/No parameter.

I'm making step diagrams of constructon,
so depends on the step, I want to change the appearance...Yes/No parameter of concrete.

I don't want to divide into concrete and rebars,
but I'm not picky about using Phase. If the control is possible, whatever is fine.

Please excuse my poor English,
If you have any trouble understanding my English, please feel free to ask so I can clarify as best as I can.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,

I'm confused. I understand you are phasing your concrete work, but I don't understand how the Yes/No parameter ties into it. Sounds like you you want to use a Yes/No parameter to phase construction. Why not just use phases?

@barthbradley,

When I use only Phase, I need to click(select) each rebar to set Phase.

Yes/No parameter ties them into one.

(Concrete volume's Yes/No parameter also ties the other)

A project has a lot of columns and beams, so it is not practical that click each rebar on each frameworks.

When I use the family with concrete volume and rebars,

I set both of them at one time, and hopefully, set phase at two time.

Well, here's my confusion then: Rebar is hosted. It exists within a phase of construction WITH the concrete (host) it's embedded into. Do you get where I 'm coming from?

...I think I get now. You want to show a trench and wire phase of construction; right? If so, I got a couple of ideas for you.

@barthbradley,

Sorry, I don't see what you are getting at.

>It exists within a phase of construction WITH the concrete (host) it's embedded into.
I thought I need to set Phase on each Concrete(host) and Rebars, don't I?
And on the other hand, I make rebars as not [Rebar] but [Sweep] in family to set them with concrete volume at one time.

>You want to show a trench and wire phase of construction
What are you getting at with "trench" and "wire phase"?
I guess...Is it kind of [View unobscured] or [View as solid]?

Please excuse my poor English,
Here's what I want to do.
Do you get it?

Why don't you create view templates to turn on/off beam/column categories to expose/unexpose rebars instead of using a parameter?

@ToanDN,

Sorry, my diagram is bad,
Because of it, the progress(expose) is different depend on each column(beam).

In my diagram, there are only one floor, but actually, there are plural floors and frameworks.

Create rebars schedule, group by host and unitemize all instances do all rebars of one host collapse into one row, add yes/no parameters or a text parameter to assign progression of construction to rebar groups.  You may want to add the same parameter(s) to structural if you want yo control them independently from their rebars.

@ToanDN,

Oh, I think it's a good idea when I change parameters permanently!
But...now, what I need is changing temporary.
What is important is that expose/unexpose follow phase or changing view.
For instance, all steps can be seen on one seet.

Anyway, Thank you so much to show me the new way.
It's a great benefit to me!
