How to connect Sweep Blend

Hello all,

I draw the drain with Sweep Blend but at the bends, it can't connect to each other. I also tried using Structure Framing to draw but got the same error.
Can you guys help me fix this error.
Thank you

Why not use sweep instead? Has the drain different profiles at each end? Only simple sweeps can make clean bends from a multisegment path. But sweep blends only can be made with a single segment path and the ends of the path must be coplanar for clean connections, in case you need to create a "chain" of sweep blends.

Have you try using railing?

I haven't tried it with the railing yet because I find it quite troublesome

I use sweep blend because the pitch of the 2 ends is different

There is not much that can be done if you reject some of the suggestions. Perhaps upload the file and see if anyone can help resolve your issues.

I have 2 Question:

1. How to make this curve only need to use 1 sweep to draw (now i have to split it into many small segments)

2. How to handle the connection between these 2 segments

Thank all 😁

Use an adaptive family, or a ramp with railing, or a sloped floor or roof and host a railing on it.

I use the rail technique and it works in the bending. See attached

I think this solution solved my problem. Thank you so much,

But I have a question more. I want to take-off volume of concrete. But if use rail to model this, i can take it. Is there any other way for me to get this volume?

You can use the area of the profile using filled region

In the railing schedule, you create a new parameter for area. You add the length and use calculated value to calculate volume using length x area.

Sorry so much, this is the first time i create adaptive family. I can't create soild form in this family. Can you tell me how can I fix it?

I want to try to use adaptive family because if I use railling, I can't create slopes are uniform on the whole route because they consist of many straight and curved segments in succession (elevation difference between start and end is 25cm). I'm happy if there is a method to solve this railing problem

Thank you so much.

For railing you can always change the height. You have to edit the profile and set each line as sloped

At the end of the line, change the height correction to custom and you define your elevation.

Create a temporary ramp along the path so that you can the consistent slope for every segment.  Then create a railing hosted by this ramp, or place adaptive family points on this ramp.  Hide the ramp when done.
