How to change the pan button in Revit?

Hi,

Hello, I am new to the forum. I was looking for a way  to change the pan function from the middle mouse button to the right mouse button in Revit, because I usually use that in other software.

Thanks in advance!

(i am sorry if this is in the wrong board, it is just my first topic indeed)

You can't. If you use some kind of mouse software, it probably offers ways to switch buttons....

@ViníciusBarbosa as Simon suggested, you need to reconfigure the mouse buttons in the mouse software (if the firmware of the mouse you are using supports that function)...Im using 3dconnexion Space mouse on laptop and Asus on desktop and can confirm that both support remapping for Revit, Fusion, Inventor, Autocad as well as Solidworks and Vectorworks.

Hi, Simon!

Thank you for the information.

I noticed that, in a Plan View, there is possible to pan by using 'shift + right mouse', but, in a 3D view, this is not possible. Maybe, I can deal with that, even not using some macros. By the way, you can tell me if there is a way to change the function to duplicate elements from 'ctrl' key button to 'alt' key button in Revit's Keyshorts?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, RDAOU!

Thank you for your that!

I am using a Razer mouse and I can set up some macros, as I did for Rhino 3D, which I use a lot at the moment. But I need to explore the possibility of having macros only activated when using specific software (I will look into that). I have just started using Rhino.Inside.Revit and I have to deal with both UI, which can be confusing at times. I have tested the macro in Revit and it works, but I lost the right mouse button quick press functionality when I changed it to the middle mouse button. Well, I'll do some research to figure that out.

Xmouse button control will do what ever you want, on every mouse button you want, in every program you want (different functions for different programs).
