A building that should be placed 10000, 10000 from the orgio happened to be placed 8264,10000 instead. I tried to fix that but I couldn't.
I tried to unclipp the project base point and move it to that distance but when I export it to autoCAD it is still 8264 on the coordination. I tried to move it clipped but the distance kept the same to the building. I tried to move th survy point but all these didn't work when I export it. It is still as it was.
See the screen shot plese
What to do?
Keep the Survey point at is and move the Project base point clipped to 10000, 10000. Change the DWG Export coordinate to Shared instead of Internal.
Thank you for the answer but it didn't work. Please notice that the building conrner is now 8264,10000 from the Project base Point.
I tried to attach a smiplified version of the Project but it is not seem to work.
This will change the World position of the corner and when I export to cad it is still 8264,10000 although it shows 10000,10000 on the Revit now.
I attach a simplified file.
I did the exact steps I described above and it works.
- Unclip Project Base Point and move it 1736 west
- Reclip PBP and move it to match Survey Point
- Move the custom structural survey point symbol to match Survey Point
Use Manage > Coordinates > Specify coordinates at point, select that point, and enter the desired coordinates.
Thank you but I must use the share coordinate option when exporting. It will be like a new site not the local position.
Export from the view, with the option of "Shared". The resulting drawing will have the same coordinates that the Revit model has now for the building on the site.
it is 10000,10000 on Revit but still 8264, 10000 on autocad. see attached photos
The CAD file exported from the Revit file I fixed reports 10000, 10000. If you have taken all the steps I listed above and it is still wrong then I am out of idea unless I can see the actual Revit file. And make sure you open the correct CAD file, not the old one.
if you log in my ftp you can down load a small copy of the original file
ftp.myasp.net
user name Revit2016

so you can find the original Revit file. I delete most of it to make it less in size.
Thank you
It gives me the connection error below. How big is it? I think you can attached a big file here too.
If you use the Internet explorer you come to this page. The edge take you to other page I don't why.
I could not log in. I am sure the limit here is more than 5MB. I've seen people uploading near 100 MB files before.
Anyways, upload to this OneDrive cloud link.
Yes, that is fine. The corner coordinate changed but that is no problem I can fix it. How you did that? The way you tell me befor?
if you use the id command on the corner point in your file it is not 10000,10000
