How to change the highest point of roof

I try to make the roof match with a truss. If I edit either slope of the roof, the highest point of the roof was changed. I tried to adjust in " offset from the roof base". it seems don't work.

You can drag it up in a section view using the grip on the peak.

You can draw a flat roof, edit subelements, add peak line and change it's elevation.

I am confused. Could you explain more?

I google it and try to learn to do the sub-element

"Click Modify | Floors tab - Shape Editing panel-Modify Sub Elements"

Trying to find Sub Element in Modify|Roofs. But I don't find the sub-element option

Could you please let me know what is the next step?

thank~

I don't get the first method. In the section view, I picked the roof and try to drag it, it can adjust the slope's angle, but the peak's location of the roof won't be changed. Do I miss something? working on the edit footprint? or Properties board?

I google a lot and still don't know how to work on it.

Could you explain in more detail? please

You can also do a roof by extrusion and draw the roof lines matching the truss.
