Assuming you are using structural column and not Architectural column. You can use filter and set base level to be certain level
Then change the pattern color
It will highlight the column in color
The other option is to add the color into the material. If you use OOTB structural column, it will default the material as instance. There you can select column in level 1 to be material pink and level 2 to be material green.
Many Thanks;
But there's a problem in the plan view. If i want to place a blue column in level 1 to level2 and a red column in level 2 to level3 SUPERIMPOSE in the plan views, have problem doing that
For floor plan use both the cut and surface pattern and select solid blue for level 1 & green for level 2 red. Once you set the filter up nicely, you should be able to see your column color change.
Sir, have you try placing the red on the blue on LEVEL2?. Still have problems with that in the floor plan even after setting UP the filters.
There are many factors why it wouldn't show. Upload the file so we can take a look what you did wrong.
I check your file and I see no issues. I've just add couple of filters and copy the column up to level 3 and the filter shows different color as intended.
Yeah, thanks for your time. i now see how revit works with levels for column.
