this may be a basic question but here goes: i just want to change the hatching of a floor boards that shows by default in my floor plan. i want to use a custom look or let it appear 'blank' . how do i do that?

Select Floor element >> edit type >> Edit Structure >>> Edit the material of top layer >> set a surface pattern

thanks for the response, assuming i want this 'blank' look to appear in one view say first floor but not on second floor plan, is there any way to use visibility graphics or some other method to do so? since, changing the pattern in the 'edit structure' affects all instances of that floor element type
Apologies...It is hard to guess what exactly you are doing... but yes you can override surface patterns of floors and other element in different ways.. example
1. Select element right click and override element or category in the view (set surface pattern to none)
2. Create and Set view filters to override floors by level or any parameter value (built in or user created)
