how can i calculate a wall layer while i'm wrapping it at insert or at the end ot both sides in revit material take-off?
i mean whenever i wrap a material, revit doesn't calculate that wrapping side inside material take-off,is there any solution?
thanks in advance.

Wall Wraps have no BIM Value. They are cosmetic only. They cannot be Scheduled. I would need to model the Wrap in order to Schedule them.
Create a Wall Type that is comprised of just the finish layers/materials and use it for the Wraps.
...or just set Wraps to "None", and Paint the Wall Ends/Inserts with the Material using the Paint tool on the Modify tab.

Well look at this gem ![]()

I like Barth's replies (well most of them)...He is enough of an expert and professional to dig into a matter and solve it instead of copying/pasting and using without questioning HOW it was done. And when users ask him how he did it, he takes the whole time necessary to explain. Yeah! with lots of images (I prefer GIFs) but still he doesn't dodge follow up questions. That's not all; when someone gives him a lead on something he didn't know before his EGO doesn't prevent him from giving you the thumb up and credit for the new tip
Deriving the quantities from other parameters is a good one ... thumbs up Barth
Edit: isn't it 2am in your time zone?! you need to get some sleep Toan

Hi,
Which revit version is this, please? Is it some sort of add in?
My revit 2020 and 2021 don't show the wrapping area field option...
Thanks
@pfariaKP97U I think you can create your own Wrapping at Ends parameter but I dont know how would the wrapping part be included in the quantities since is just for appearance? Maybe if you add the Area as a formula for Wall thickness x Wall height?
Well, but how would that work? how it would actually calculate the wrap areas?
You would need to create a new parameter and then a formula. The wrap area would be Wall thickness x Wall Height. Bu that would be an aproximation for wall ends. If you have 2 ends then multiply again by 2. This should be done just for the walls in that situation. I dont know how you can do it for inserts like windows or doors.
