Hello, I used to work on a hillside and had a problem with having too many levels. I wonder if there were an easier way of grouping these building pads and future floor levels. For example, can I see a few of them together in one plan view or something?

Use scope boxes for each platforms and then apply to desired views.

In such a case I'll make

  • a separate Project for the Site with Elevation Base turned to Survey Point , create all the toposurface works on it including Pads
  • separate file for the buildings that will be Linked on the Site File . The Linked Files Levels visibility can then be controlled by VGO (Revit Links >Display Settings)
  • and Manage>Publish Coordinates in order to allocate the terrain coordinates to the building objects (files)

A little more information would be nice to offer advice.  What problems did you have with lots of levels?  Sounds like it's just visibility issues?  If yes, then just make section, and elevation views for each pad or building and turn off the ones you do not want to see or adjust crop boxes.  You mention something about seeing a few of them in a plan view??  Levels do not show up in plan views.  The more information you can give us the better the solutions offered will be.

Regards Peter.
