how to align the cantilever part of an adaptive form

Hello,

I made an adaptive joist which has 4 AP points to decide the locations,  then there will be an extension part from the AP end faces, which shall align with the AP face,

But it seems the ref point (non-adapteive) can only be set within the adaptive reference lines, but unable to be set at an extension outside the ref line , unless to make a new ref line, but now no idea how to align with the main part (I had tried ref point and model lines, and tried to align with all the faces,  APs, nAPs , ref lines and model lines)

Create a ref line thru the first and last ref points.  Then host the cantilever point on the end plane of the last ref point (use tab to choose) and add an offset from host value for the cantilever length.
