How to add tile pattern on wall.?

i want to add tile pattern but on in elevation.....i dont want to see it in 3d view. Is it possible to do.

NOTE: Not in Revit Template, Tile pattern in Revit Family Template

i think can? unless you don't set your visual style to Realistic. thanks

I suppose you have a model pattern, so in case you want do hide that on all walls in 3d views then just set wall pattern in vg --> model category walls to hidden or else if it's for specific wall(s) you could filter for these and do the same with filter settings

You say the tile pattern is in a Family. How is the tile pattern created?  Is it modeled? Is it linework? Can you provide some more information, or post the Family?

Ah yes, so if it's in the family you could just attach parameters for material in the family, set the material in your project, and just do the same as with my previous post...? You shouldn't use model lines as a pattern I think, if that's the case.

Thanks. Everything i need to do in the family....i created a material with tile pattern.but i want tile pattern on on particular surface..i dont want to use model lines because it takes so much time and my family is parametric

i can create tile pattern in material as i shown in pic....but i want the tile pattern only inside the enclosure and should be visible only in elevation..

Could you elaborate why you would need to do this in the family? If it's just one instance why not just draw it in elevation, see Toan's post...

-You could paint the surfaces in the family with your tile material / model pattern.
-Create a filter for the family for your 3D views and set patterns to hidden.
-If you want parts of the family to have patterns except the walls, probably you would have to combine different families in a group or assembly and again use a filter.
