I've succeeded in adding plaster to column but I can't do the same to the beam
Hello
I know 3 methods that you can use to plaster the beams.
1) Paint them with the paint tool so that the concrete won't be visible or change the beam material to plaster if you're going to do interior rendering.
2) Use model in place to cover that part with extrusion and give it a material.
3) Use 10-20mm wall to cover that part and give a material to the wall. But make sure that the walls are not joined with the main wall.
Hi @Anonymous @goulnazarianh
Unfortunately, we can´t add new layers to beam or columns ![]()
1. The paint options also doesn´t work for beam, only for Columns ![]()
So we can do the @goulnazarianh 2 and 3suggestions
Plus, you could also model those layers manually inside the beam ![]()

Why not? We do it all the time. Model it in Revit the same way it will be constructed in the field. Wrap the Beams with Walls and Floors or Ceilings that are the thickness of your "plaster" material.
you can do it in Family too ...
Here are two examples from my own data base: a Beam and a Structural Column

they are both Parametric Families , so to can take in consideration the Floor Slab and the Walls that come in contact with them...
