I am trying to create a simple table family in Revit for a Cafe and I want to make it possible to edit the table size by adding parameters. The top of my table however is made up of a main piece of wood with another piece as a trim around the main piece (i.e. two different materials). When trying to add a length or width parameter to the table I can make the edge of the table move, but the rest the table stays in place causing the trim to increase. I want the main part of the table to move with the trim as a whole. I tried using a formula for a parameter with the inside parts locked to it (=Length-30mm), but I could only apply the formula if I removed the parameter I just created rendering my formula useless.Main part not following the trim.
How I want the trim to look no matter the size of the table.

Thanks,
I didn't think of creating the dimension for the trim between those two reference planes.
I appreciate the help.
LOCKED Dimension. That's critical. Labeling the Dimension is not a must.
